General Purpose/Scope of Position

Perform responsible and complex data entry, data transfer, and data reporting using the GEAR-UP IV student information system.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in data management to include collection, dissemination, maintenance, auditing, as well as customer service.
- Additional relevant experience may replace education requirement.
- Additional relevant education may replace experience requirement.
- Strong computer skills, including word processing, database management, data entry, PL/SQL, and web development.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or related field.
- Experience in data management in higher education.
- Knowledge of various software packages such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Publisher), instructional systems, Adobe Contribute, etc.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills.

Summary of Job Duties

Essential Duty

Perform responsible and complex data entry into the GEAR-UP IV student information system.

Essential Duty

Perform responsible and complex data entry, data transfer, and data reporting using the GEAR-UP IV student information system. Assist with the transferring of data from different sources and uploading capabilities into the GEAR-UP IV student information system.

Essential Duty

Assist the Research Director in preparing and generating reports based on data from the GEAR-UP IV student information system and other databases.

Essential Duty

Assist with the coordination and/or training of assessment administrations for the GEAR-UP IV cohort. Assist with the creation and maintenance of data collection from different sources (surveys).

Essential Duty

Assist in maintaining the GEAR-UP IV website and social media. Develop and maintain printed/visual materials such as, but not limited to, forms, flyers, brochures, and PowerPoint presentations.

Organize, coordinate, and participate in GEAR-UP IV activities and/or educational field trips.
