Required Qualifications

The successful candidate should hold a PhD in Criminal Justice, qualify for appointment as an associate or full professor, and possess outstanding interpersonal, leadership, management, and administrative skills and experience. The candidate should also have an active research agenda, be committed to mentoring department faculty, and committed to undergraduate and graduate instruction, scholarship and publication, grant writing, and service to the university and community.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with at least 2 years of administrative experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Responsibilities include oversight and management of the Department of Social Sciences, which encompasses academic programs in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Sociology, Public Administration, and Geography.
